Congratulations to Garden City Middle School art teachers Joe Wilkonski, Lori Rousku and Dennis Fediw who, for the third year in a row, were recognized by the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) for their outstanding achievements in the visual arts at the middle school level for the 2010-2011 school year. 

“We are excited to share this tremendous honor with the community,” commented Ms. Rousku, “and appreciate all of the continuous support that makes it all possible!”

The teachers also acknowledged the efforts of this year’s talented eighth graders who completed their self-portrait tiles as part of the annual installation of art works. In addition to being permanently on display in the middle school hallways, the eighth graders’ colorful self-portraits were featured in the third annual edition of Art in Garden City Middle School, available for viewing here.
