I hope you find your dog. I am not in town or I'd be searching for you. Someone must have pickedRead Moreh im up. Is he a friendly Silky? My daughter had one and he was a nervous dog and not at all friendly. That may be a plus as people would tend to call you and not keep the dog. Check with police and all animal shelters. Possibly offer a reward. My heart goes out to you and the dog.

I commented yesterday on the Facebook post, but just in case you didn't see it, I third the HarborRead MoreC hildcare recs. I send my 15 mo. old son to the Willis Ave. location because it's really close to the Mineola train station for my commute. He loves it there and has learned so much.

I think Harbor Day Care and Adelphi are good options. I have always heard positive feedback aboutRead Morebo th of them. I had my girls go to Tutor Time on Jericho Tpke in New Hyde Park...I was very happy with them and they had longer hours - I believe 7:00-6:30 - very helpful if you are working in the city. Tutor Time was also closest to my home which made it easier to get to the train (not the main reason to choose a childcare center, but it definitely helps). I really liked Tutor Time because of the staff, strong curriculum and my girls were happy. The girls were very prepared for kindergarten and they really enjoyed it! www.parentinglifelessons.com

Astrology makes predictions of future events based on cosmological alignments of both planets andRead Moreth e Sun and Moon in relation to constellations of stars. So what exactly is the difference if not the predictions and labels used? While the ancient writers of scripture surely associated celestial events with real world events by sensing a pattern, without knowing that the pattern is repeated throughout the universe, they could not know that it couldn't be personal. That the eclipse happened while the skies were overcast suggests that if it were a sign, few were able to see it. The logical question is to ask why God wouldn't have ensured there were clear skies so that the sign could be seen. Simply put, if it were in fact a sign, hiding it is counter productive. The significance of the world wars depends on from where and when you look at them. Significant to those who lived it to be sure but to those who came afterwards, perhaps less so. While tragic to those who suffered the effects of the times, the losses were replaced within 3 generations and the memory of those who experienced the times are fading as time moves on. Besides, if another world war is to happen, it, like everything else, must be by design of anything is. I do believe that everything happens because it is supposed to or nothing can, I just don't think it all happens for us as some seem to. My ego is healthy but to assume the entire universe was made for man alone is beyond my hubris.
