A key to this matter is not only the percentage of seniors who make up a considerable part of the…Read More population of Garden City and that fact that we use so little of of the Town's assets, but the amount that we contribute to the town in the form of taxes and also volunteer work. In order for what was stated by Trustees, at this meeting, to be viable there MUST be a realistic agenda and time line established for its completion. I am 78years of age, have lived here for 34 years and I would like to see something realistic done in my lifetime, and not just promises.

The portion of St. Paul box in a box could be made larger for senior and it is closer to the center…Read More of GC for them to walk from condos to play bridge in bad weather .I have met a older lady recently who was proud that she sold her home to move onto something smaller in the center of the village. I met her at the INN in hempstead she was donating her time there .
