One traffic light stanchion (where current STOP sign is) in this set up would control 1) the flow from Rockaway southbound into Merillon while a second, coordinated light controls Merillon feeding into Rockaway. Separately, another traffic light would control Rockaway flow north either bearing right toward the HS bleechers or bearing left onto Merillon.
I understand the issue with road ownership but I'm more frustrated by the logic in installing a flashing warning/danger signal rather than removing the danger.
Common sense and logical problem-solving are lacking here.
