100 Years Young
: The Garden City Retired Men’s Club will honor village resident Ed Palkot and host a 100th year birthday party at Pompei Restaurant, 401 Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead, from noon to 5 p.m.

Networking Party: The Garden City Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2013 Mid-Summer Networking Party, hosted and sponsored by Doubleday Court at the model of its planned condominiums between 6-8 p.m. at 301 Franklin Avenue.
