Six Vacancies in Garden City

Retail and office space available on Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue.

Empty storefronts still remain in Garden City. Here are six vacancies on Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue:

109 Seventh St.: Professional office space is available for lease at 109 Seventh Street. Call Michael Vitale at 203-3139 if interested.

98 Seventh St.: Gerry Anne's card shop located at 98 Seventh St. is closed. Call Karl at 485-0740 or 315-1312 if interested. The shop is located directly next door to Riesterer's Bake Shop.

191 Seventh St.: Retail space is available on the ground level of the Almaviva, located at 191 Seventh Street at the corner of Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue. According to John Wilton, chair of the Merchant Professional & Retailers group, there is 15,000 square feet of retail space available at the location. The Running Company, a national athletic footwear chain, is expected to move in to 3,000 square feet of that space, according to loopnet.com, though no further details have been provided. 745 Franklin Ave.: Long Island Luggage opened in late 2010. Owned by the Sarhan family, the shop offered a variety of items besides traditional luggage pieces, including attaché cases for lawyers and doctors, backpacks for school-aged children, wallets, watches and accessories. Omar Sarhan closed the store earlier this summer.

815 Franklin Ave.
: Corner retail space at 815 Franklin Avenue is available for rent. Once the home of H.L. Gross Jewelers, which occupied the space since 1968, the location offers 3,300 square feet of space, including a full basement. Call 485-9400, ext. 23 for more information.

960 Franklin Ave.: Yoga Nanda recently moved to 55 Hilton Ave. (second floor) because it outgrew its former location at 960 Franklin Ave. The space is now available for lease. There is 2,500 square feet of space available on street level. Call 232-0795 if interested.
