Adelphi University Celebrates African American Literature

The Center for African, Black & Caribbean Studies at Adelphi University in Garden City hosted an African American Read In, “Lift Every Voice: Let Us Read Together”, at the school in honor of Black History Month.  Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby read two poems by Maya Angelou and congratulated program coordinator Crystal Mackey and participants in the read in.
