Centennial Soccer Referee Course Information

A soccer referee course is being offered to students in seventh grade or up who are interested in becoming a Garden City Centennial Soccer referee.

In order to become a referee for the upcoming spring season, you must attend both days of a two-night course and pass a written test.

Becoming a Centennial referee is a great way to give back to our sports community! The course will be held in the Stratford School cafeteria from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, and Wednesday, March 23.

Students are asked to bring a pad and pen with them to both sessions. The test will be given at the end of the second session.

In order to be a ref this spring, you must be available to officiate games on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m for the girls divisions and 1 and 5 p.m. for the boys. Only referees who have taken and passed the Centennial referee course are eligible to be assigned games to ref.

If you have previously taken the course and passed the exam there is no need to attend this course. For further information, contact Steve Wieland at gcreferees@optonline.net.
