Evening Walking Tour of Historic Homes Slated for December 1st

On Thursday, December 1, the Garden City Historical Society invites you to their annual Evening Walking Tour. The tour will begin at the Mercer School of Theology, 65 Fourth Street, between Cathedral and Rockaway Avenues, at 7:00 p.m. This year's tour features the Cathedral of the Incarnation, the former Bishop's residence and two magnificent historic houses.

Remember to bring a flashlight or lantern and dress accordingly (good walking shoes).

Tickets are $30.00 for members of The Garden City Historical Society and $35.00 for non- members. You can mail in your reservation to Jill Mayer, 87 Magnolia Avenue, Garden City, 11530 or purchase tickets at The A.T. Stewart Exchange. Checks are payable to The Garden City Historical Society.

Following the tour, there will be a Yuletide Champagne Reception at The Garden City Historical Museum, 109 Eleventh Street.

Take the opportunity to do your Christmas shopping and visit The A.T. Stewart Exchange located in the lower level of the Museum. The shop will be open in the evening. This event is a wonderful way to start the holiday season so save the date, and join us for a special treat.
