Friends Book Discussion: 'My Sister’s Keeper' by Jodi Picoult

My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult is the selection for The Friends of The Garden City Public Library book discussion to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.

This book discussion, which is being moderated by Gloria Weinrich, will take place in the library’s small meeting room on the lower level and is limited to 20 participants. No registration is necessary. Copies of the book are available beginning Monday, Aug. 20, at the Reference Desk in the Library. 

New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult has written a provocative novel that raises some important ethical issues. My Sister’s Keeper examines the difficult choices a family must make when a child is diagnosed with a serious disease. This thought-provoking novel explores what it means to be a good parent, a good sister and a good person.
