The holidays are just around the corner, and with everything going on with Hurricane Sandy there are plenty of ways to volunteer or donate with your kiddos. Spread some good cheer this holiday season and get involved with one of these local causes.

Hockey with a Heart
Skating for a Cause, New York Islanders open their doors today for open skate for all and an opportunity to donate to Long Islanders affected by Hurricane Sandy.

What to Do and Where to Do it:
From 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM open skate at the Nassau Coliseum, bring what you can! For more information visit http://islanders.nhl.com/.

Feed a Family this Thanksgiving!
Swing Bellies of Long Beach is raising money to cook dinner for families devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Many families have lost much of their home and their community in Long Beach, with Thanksgiving just around the corner you can help bring cheer and food to these families.

One Coast One Love Tee Shirts
Wear it proudly, wear it for love! Kenny Onufrock, photographer and designer has made it his mission to help those effected by Hurricane Sandy. His specially designed t-shirts are a positive graphic proclaiming a message of unity with those affected by Hurricane Sandy, proceeds will be donated to aid in the Hurricane relief efforts.
