The Garden City Community Church sponsored its annual
Advent Breakfast on Sunday, December 1st. The Membership, Life and Development
(MLD) Committee served up some pancakes, eggs and sausages after the Reverend
Lynn Sullivan lead grace. Children's crafts included pine rope wreaths and
coloring projects. A special Christmas Tree banner held names of children from
a nearby church who need Christmas presents. Members selected their names and
will buy them a gift .
MLD Chair, Paul Birkenstock
said, "We had a nice turn out of church families and friends for
the breakfast. The kids really loved the craft and word puzzle placemats. A
great start to the holiday season!"
During
the service, new members were introduced to the congregation. In Church School,
rehearsal for the upcoming Christmas Pageant took place.
