April 22: Easter Egg Hunt, Mini Golf Day and Vintage Car Parade

The top five things you need to know April 22:

1. Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Community Park: Don't miss the Garden City Recreation Department's annual Easter egg hunt at Garden City Community Park Saturday. Three hunts will be held beginning at 10 a.m. with three age divisions: Pre-K to Kindergarten, Grades 1-2 and Grades 3-5. Find the special eggs and win prizes! 2. Miniature Golf Day of Fun and Prizes: Mini Golf Day is being held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. following the Easter egg hunt. The event will include music, coffee, tea and hot chocolate and donuts. Contests will also be offered.

3. Easter Party: Decorate ceramic Easter eggs, create Easter baskets and meet the Easter Bunny at The Cupcake Corner Saturday between noon and 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served and favors provided to each child. Reservations required ($35 per child). Call 516-328-2253.

4. Easter Sunday Vintage Car Parade: Don't miss the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 56th annual Easter Sunday vintage car parade, which kicks off at 1 p.m. Hundreds of unique, classic and vintage cars will make their way through the village - beginning at Tenth Street and heading south on Franklin Avenue and west on Seventh Street. (Exhibit time is 10 a.m. in Parking Field 9E.).

5. Breakfast With The Easter Bunny: On Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at The Garden City Hotel. The buffet breakfast is $29.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) for adults and half price, $14.95, for children under 12 years old. The menu includes French toast, mini pancakes, assorted Easter cookies and signature Easter cupcakes. Call 516-877-9385 for reservations, which are required.
