Garden City Man Charged with Boating While Intoxicated: A Garden City man was arrested and charged with boating while intoxicated Aug. 24 in Glenwood Landing, cops said. Nikolaos Katrakazos, 23, had watery and blood shot eyes, and also had slurred speech, according to police. He was arrested without incident.

Accident Shuts Down Franklin Avenue Early Wednesday: Franklin Avenue was closed in both directions Aug. 14 after an SUV overturned between Sixth and Seventh streets.
