The Garden City Community Church Nursery School (CCNS) is pleased to announce Two for Twos- 2 programs for 2 year olds: PlaySchool and Next Steps.
PlaySchool is a program that meets on Wednesdays for two hours in the morning. It's designed for the two-year-olds to have a positive first "school" experience to be shared with a parent or caregiver. As the year progresses, the program offers gradual, optional separation. The children have fun exploring the classroom equipment, learning socialization skills and getting to know their teachers. Parents can form bonds with other parents who are sharing the same experiences. Children need to be two by December 1st, 2013.
New for the 2013/14 school year is Next Steps, which meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for two hours in the afternoon. It is a separation program for the older two-year-olds who are ready to be independent. The program offers opportunities for positive socialization, independence, early literacy and play. Next Steps is open to all children who will be two years old by June 1st, 2013.
Registration for either program starts March 4th, either by phone (516.746.1756) or in person at the CCNS office. For more information or to schedule a tour of the school to register, please call Cathie McCullough, CCNS Director or visit the website at www.GCCCNurserySchool.com.
