DINE WITH YOUR VALENTINE AT THE GARDEN CITY HOTEL Hotel offers special romantic meals throughout Valentine’s Day weekend The Garden City Hotel invites couples to indulge in the cuisine of new Executive Chef Michael Mandato over Valentine’s Day weekend, with special three-course, prix-fixe dinners from February 14th through 17th, and a relaxing Sunday brunch on the 17th. Hosted at the hotel’s highly acclaimed restaurant, Rein and the adjacent Polo room, these events will showcase Chef Mandato’s specially created menu. Each night of Valentine’s Day weekend, the prix-fixe dinner will begin with a chilled glass of Moet Chandon Champagne and a gift of a red rose for the ladies. The first course includes options of cured smoked duck breast with stuffed dates, lemon grass halibut grave lox, Maine lobster bisque or a special spinach salad. For the main course, guests will choose between a variety of uniquely prepared entrees, such as fontina stuffed chicken, filet mignon with gorgonzola melt, cider brined Berkshire pork chop and olive oil poached salmon. For dessert, guests can enjoy a fruity French macaron with Tahitian ice cream or a chocolate gianduja heart served with coffee Cointreau ice cream. On Sunday, couples can share a relaxing meal together at the hotel’s award-winning brunch. The Valentine’s Brunch will feature an enticing buffet display of classic favorites and luxurious touches, including made-to-order omelets, waffles, a breakfast seafood station, meat carving station, sensational pastas and fresh Sushi. Brunch items include a wide variety of fruits, breads, muffins, pastries and of course, decadent desserts. Reservations for Valentine’s weekend dinners are now being accepted for Thursday, February 14th to Sunday, February 17th at either 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. The prix-fixe dinner cost is $90 per person, plus tax and 18% gratuities.
