The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro is the selection for the Friends of the Garden City Public Library book discussion, to be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. in the small meeting room on the lower level of the library.
Thirteen works of art valued at more than $500 million were stolen from the Isabella Gardener Museum in Boston in March 1990. This remains the largest unsolved art heist in history. B.A. Shapiro takes the reader on a 300-year journey through the world of artists, art thieves and art collectors.
Gloria Weinrich will moderate the discussion, which is limited to 20 participants.
No registration is necessary. Copies of the book are available at the Reference Desk.
