1. Aladdin/Jasmine Party

Where/When: Cupcake Corner Too!, Friday, Aug. 19 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Themed crafts and games, "magic" carpets, genie lamps, camels, favors and a full lunch await your children. Jasmine and Aladdin themselves will entertain and pose for pictures.

Where/When: Long Island Children’s Museum, Saturday, Aug. 20, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
Why Go: Dora, her best buddy Boots the Monkey, and the rest of their friends embark on an exciting trip to Treasure Island.

3. Free Crafts for Kids
Where/When: The Cupcake Corner, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Why Go: Children will get to do a free craft while you enjoy a cup of coffee and a cupcake! Craft changes weekly - some crafts include painting suncatchers, creating a fish out of a paper plate, decorating a picture frame, etc.

4. Shadybook Stroll: The Giving Tree
Where/When: Old Westbury Gardens, Saturday, Aug. 20 at noon.
Why Go: Lend an ear to Shel Silverstein's classic story chronicling the selflessness of nature. Learn how trees are the ultimate gift to people and sample some of the tasty delights trees provide!
Pricing: $10; $8 seniors; $5 ages 7-17; free 6 and under
5. Conductor Jack and the Zinghoppers
Where/When: Long Island Children’s Museum, Sunday and Monday, Aug. 21 and 22 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Fun, interactive music for kids. Conductor Jack’s live show will have audiences singing, dancing and, of course, hopping along.
Pricing: $4 with museum admission, $3 LICM members, $8 theater only
