Items of the Week From The A.T. Stewart Exchange: Desk, Banker's Chair and Accessories

Items for your home are all in the spotlight this week.

This week's feature includes a handsome desk, banker's chair and attractive accessories. We start with a hardwood, slant-top desk, priced at $125. This item has three drawers, a "pigeon coop" and measures 41"H x 28 1/2"W x 28 1/2"D. The banker's chair is solid oak and is offered at $75.

Our accessories are varied and all make a lovely presentation. We begin with a head bust of a Vietnamese woman for $60, two inkwells; one is solid crystal at $25 and second is both crystal and silver plate and is priced at $60. The lamp is a faux oil lamp for $75, three Royal Doulton Bunnykin figurines for $40 and the small painting is a copy of a Renoir entitled, "Little Boy Studying" at $30. We finish with a Royal Tara cup and saucer for only $10. All items are available at the time of posting.

The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of The Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue, 516.746.8900. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Tuesdays through Fridays and from 12 noon to 4 p.m on Saturdays. Parking is available behind the Museum.
