2. Beauty Without Cruelty: Allison Paulo will teach young adults about vegan and vegetarian beauty products that are animal friendly and environmentally responsible during a program that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library. Participants will then create salt-and-sugar scrubs using a variety of essential oils. All of the products used are organic and plant-based. Registration began July 13 via Eventkeeper. Call 516-742-8405 for more information.
