Rabbit Hides Near Stewart Ave

He (or she) was either weeks early for the Easter season or lost.

Either way, this little bunny safely scurried away from oncoming traffic on Stewart Avenue and into the greenery near the corner of Franklin and Stewart avenues.

Since we are on the subject of rabbits, here are a few random facts from the Humane Society:

- Mothers feed rabbits twice per day, at dawn and dusk.

- If a nest is disturbed, put it back together and cover the babies with the grass that originally covered them.

- Baby rabbits leave the nest at three months old.

- Outdoor cats and dogs are a threat to bunnies.
