Seventh Street Closed to All Traffic Beginning at 4PM
The parking fields behind the shops on Seventh Street will, however, remain open during Belmont Festival.
Seventh Street, between Hilton and Franklin avenues, will be closed to all vehicular traffic beginning at 4 p.m. Friday in preparation of Garden City's 16th annual Belmont Festival.
Parking fields to the rear of the stores (7S and 7N) will, however, remain open.
The annual community event, to be held from 6 to 10 p.m., will offer a variety of food, live music, pony rides, carnival games and face painting for the youngsters and more. Winners of the children's poster contest will also be announced and the Wing Off competition, a crowd favorite, will be held again this year.

This event was rescheduled from Friday, June 7, due to inclement weather. This is the first year it has ever been rescheduled.
