YAs, Take the 2014 Teen Video Challenge

Interpret the 2014 NYS summer reading program slogan "SPARK a Reaction" and you could win $275 and a $125 award for the Garden City Library.

Garden City YAs are invited to create a summer reading video to promote public libraries and the fun of summer reading, the Garden City Public Library has announced.

Include your interpretation of the 2014 New York State summer reading program slogan “SPARK a Reaction” and you could win $275 and a $125 award for the library. Videos should be 30 – 90 seconds.

The entry deadline is Feb. 19.

The contest is open to all New York State teens aged 13 – 18 and teens may work as individuals or as a group. Winning videos will receive national exposure and be posted to the NYS Collaborative Summer Library Program website and viewed across the country, according to librarians.
