For
50 years, Eglevsky Ballet has enriched the Long Island Community through the
presentation and training of ballet.
This year, the Eglevsky Ballet brings excitement to Long Island in the
form of the production of The Nutcracker choreographed by distinguished
choreographer Laszlo Berdo. Performances take place at the Tilles Center at
C.W. Post Campus in Greenvale on December 21st at 7:00pm, December
22nd at 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm and December 23rd at 1:00 pm. The Nutcracker
by The Eglevsky Ballet is an annual treat for the families of Long Island,
danced to the traditional lush score by Tchaikovsky, while bringing Clara’s
magical holiday journey to life.
Returning guest artists, Lia Cirio and James
Whiteside, principal dancers of The Boston Ballet Company and American Ballet
Theatre will be joining the professional company of 24 dancers. They will dance
the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Cavalier. New this year, Aran Bell, star of the
extremely popular documentary First Position will star as the Nutcracker.
