Another Crash at Busy Intersection
Local resident says hes counted nearly a half dozen accidents at the intersection since recently moving here.
A female driver was injured early Thursday afternoon after her vehicle collided with another car at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and New Hyde Park Road, according to a witness at the scene.
Village firefighters were called to the scene to extricate the driver after her vehicle slammed into a utility pole.
Garden City police and Nassau County EMS were also on scene.
A local resident stated that since he moved into the neighborhood just a short time ago, he's counted nearly a half dozen accidents at this location, most recently as yesterday.
The injured driver was transported to Winthrop-University Hospital via Nassau County ambulance.
