Citibank Robbed at Gunpoint

Citibank in East Garden City was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, according to Nassau County police.

According to detectives, a white, male suspect, entered the bank located at 600 Old County Road at around 2:45 p.m. and presented a demand note to the teller.

The subject then verbally demanded money while briefly displaying a handgun, to which the teller complied. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash towards the west doors of the building in which the bank is located. 

There were eight employees and one customer present at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

He was described as being 45-55 years old with a mustache, wearing a light blue jacket, beige shirt, a dark baseball cap and sunglasses.
