Chamber Welcomes Village Deli to Seventh Street

New deli offers appetizers and salads to special desserts and coffees.

The Garden City Chamber of Commerce in May welcomed to the Garden City business community Village Deli, a continental delicatessen and caterer located at 180 Seventh Street.

This new deli, which offers the gamut from appetizers and salads to special desserts and coffees, also offers many Mediterranean specialties. Rami Rabie, owner, notes that it was the ambiance, vitality and obvious foot traffic that brought him to Seventh Street. He is happy to be in the location which had been a delicatessen for the past 79 years - formerly known as Hoffmann's, a Seventh Street landmark.

In addition to its every day specials, Village Deli offers a varied catering menu and boasts that no occasion is too small or too large! Plus, new entries pop up daily. One recent customer raved about the chicken Marsala, chicken Francaise and that Village Deli's special crab cakes are a "wow!"
