Garden City Plastic Surgeon Selected for 13th Edition of 'Top Doctors: New York Metro Area'

Prominent plastic surgeon Kaveh Alizadeh, MD, MSc, FACS, has been selected for inclusion in the 13th edition of "Top Doctors: New York Metro Area."  

This is Dr. Alizadeh's first time in the Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. guide, which spotlights the top 10 percent of primary and specialty care physicians in the New York tri-state area.

Dr. Alizadeh is president of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC, the nation's largest and longest running private academic plastic surgery practice of its kind with offices in Garden City, Manhattan, Brooklyn, West Islip, and its newest location opening this summer in Manhasset.

He is a researcher, instructor, business executive and a humanitarian physician who has traveled around the world to care for victims of war and natural disasters in countries that include Afghanistan, Iraq, and his most recent mission to provide life-saving care to earthquake victims in Haiti.

Doctors listed in Castle Connolly's top doctors series of guides are selected after peer nomination, extensive research and careful review and screening. The Castle Connolly physician-led research team reviews the medical education, training, hospital appointments, disciplinary history and more of each nominee. Doctors do not pay to be included in a Castle Connolly guide or list.

A graduate of Cornell University Medical School in New York City, he has trained at some of the most prestigious plastic surgery programs in the world, including the University of Chicago hospitals and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also holds a master's degree from Columbia University.

Dr. Alizadeh has traveled abroad to lend his expertise to others, having received teaching and training grants for treating patients in Central and South America, the Middle East and Asia. He has authored numerous publications and given extensive presentations on the national and international level.

Dr. Alizadeh continues to study new methods in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery and has won awards for his innovative techniques, including the top presentation prize at the National Plastic Surgery Conference in January 2010 about his internal autogulous bra technique, NaturaBra.
