New Bagel Café Arrives On Scene

My Three Sons Bagel Café opens third store to serve Garden City.

The specialties of My Three Sons Bagel Café, whose other two stores in Stewart Manor and Williston Park are used to lines out the door for the morning bagel rush,  should read: "bagels and crowd control."

In just three weeks, the newest store, with the slogan "The Best Tasting Hand Rolled Bagels Anywhere!" is seeing its share of a growing crowd.

Enrico D'Amico, son of owners Eddie and Maria D'Amico, is managing the bagel café which opened for business Jan. 29 at 974 Franklin Avenue.

Everything is made fresh on the premises. Plain and Whole Wheat bagels are popular choices. "I always sell out of the Everything bagel," said Enrico D'Amico.

Aside from bagels, the breakfast menu includes omelets, pancakes, cereal and baked goods. The lunch menu is inclusive, from wraps, panini, salads and more.

"We do put out a good product," said Enrico D'Amico. "We have good bagels; everybody says it." One customer that frequented the Williston Park store now requests overnight delivery of bagels by the dozen to his new home in North Carolina.

"That's one thing about being in business, when your customers tell you that they love your product, they love your service; that makes me happy," said Enrico D'Amico. "The customers make you feel good too when they comment, this town is very good for that."

The Stewart Manor café has always served many Garden City residents.

To keep with the tradition of each store's décor, the mural and hanging artwork portrays everyday life of the town where the café is located. Framed photographs taken by professional photographer and village historian John Ellis Kordes aptly decorate this store in addition to a grand wall mural by Theresa Giannuzzi.

There are a couple of street-side parking spots at the front entrance; otherwise the parking field at the rear entrance of the café is abundant. Seating inside is also accommodating, several window spots with a view of a bustling Franklin Avenue and more than 10 additional tables are situated throughout.

Faxed orders and delivery options are available. The café provides breakfast and lunch catering in addition to its regular store selections. My Three Sons Bagel Cafe is open seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
