Readers’ Choice: Best Staycation Spot in Garden City [Poll]

Not going away this summer? We want your pick for top local staycation destination.

With summer fast approaching and children out of school, many load up the SUV and hit the road for a much-needed vacation. Memorial Day weekend kicks off the summer season.

But with sky-high gas prices as a strong deterrent, you might choose not to travel at all this year. There’s also three months of your child’s downtime to account for. How to fill the rest of those dog days?

Staycation, of course.

Patch wants to know where do you go to entertain your family and play locally? Is it a favorite park, bike path, museum, movie theater or kid-friendly lunch spot?

Time to weigh in. Garden City Patch is looking to unearth the most family-friendly spot in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s staycation destination – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Then vote. Readers' Choice winners are all up to you, so it's important not only to vote below, but also be sure to share this contest with your friends on Facebook and Twitter! Voting closes Friday at 9 a.m.

Friday we’ll announce our winner.
