Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care Opens in Mineola

Winthrop-University Hospital has opened a walk-in health care center to he g the healthcare needs of the community.

The center, Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care, is staffed by top Board-certified internal Medicine and family medicine specialists, and physician assistants. Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is located on the first floor of the 222 Station Plaza building, Suite 110, facing the Mineola train station, with parking available in the 222 Garage and also free valet parking adjacent to the center.

The center provides another option for multiple urgent medical issues – life’s mini-emergencies that require attention but are not life-threatening and do not necessitate an emergency room visit.

“Our state-of-the-art Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care provides high-quality, quick, friendly walk-in care to our community and Winthrop family and friends," said Nicholas Berbari, the medical director of Winthrop Internal Medicine Associates. "Our physicians and staff here at the center provide another great option for care.”

Anyone age 16 and up come in and receive care. Radiology and laboratory services are also available. No appointment is necessary and most insurance plans are accepted. After evaluation and treatment, all patients and their physicians will receive a clinical summary of the services that were provided.
