Section of Washington Avenue Closed Tuesday
MTA is replacing grade crossing pads between St. James Street North and South.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will be replacing grade crossing pads on Washington Avenue, between St. James North and St. James South, on Tuesday, April 2, according to an alert posted on the village's website.
Work is expected to begin at 9 a.m. and finish by day's end.
MTA police will be assigned to detour traffic in the area.
