Here are Five Things You Need to Know Aug. 9:

1. Andy Foundation Take Over: The Andy Foundation is taking over J.P. McGeever's Pub from 7-11 p.m. All tips and a portion of the night’s sales will benefit the Andy Foundation’s annual backpack drive: each year we supply backpacks filled with supplies for at-risk children in neighboring communities. 2. Most-Run Stop Signs: Do you know of a location where a Stop sign is frequently rolled through or ignored? Let us know here.

3. Back-to-School Drive: Family & Children’s Association is accepting donations of new back-to-school supplies and clothing. Sneakers, sweatshirts, jeans, pencils, backpacks, notebooks and more are needed. Get the details here.

4. Summer Concert: Tonight's concert on the Village Green will feature The Terranova Little Big Band - easy listening from the 40's to the present. Show starts at 7:15 p.m. (In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cluett Hall at the St. Paul’s School.)
