Fingerprint Used to Catch Suspect in September Burglary

Nassau County Police arrested a Hicksville man Saturday night after obtaining his fingerprint at the scene of a September burglary in Garden City.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 3, Garden City Police responded to a Roosevelt Avenue home for an alarm. The officers discovered window screens on the first and second floor had been cut and an unknown person had entered the second floor of the home.

No proceeds were reported stolen during the burglary, police said.

The Nassau County Police Crime Scene Unit was able to obtain a latent finger print at the Roosevelt Avenue home. The print matched the defendant, Christian Pagan, 19, police said.

Pagan is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and will be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
