Police are searching for two suspects who robbed the Franklin Avenue TD Bank Wednesday evening.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 7 p.m., one female and one male black suspect entered TD Bank, located at 855 Franklin Ave., and demanded cash from the teller.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspects fled on foot out the front door and ran towards the back parking lot, police said.

The male suspect is described as approximately 5-foot-9, wearing a black knit cap, a black “Boston Celtics” jacket and jeans.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Yikes. Why don't we have cameras all over the place? With the parking lots areas being the most well patrolled areas in Garden City (along with Lord & Taylor of course) they should have been caught already. Maybe if they were speeding away from the seen that would have raised an eyebrow... oh right, we don't bother with speeders here.

Shucks, spelled "scene" wrong. Maybe I'll give up the search for now and take a nap.

just reading Jane Goodall with my son for school and came across this quote of an amazing womanRead More "every individual matters, every individual has a role to play, every individual makes a difference." that is what makes our nation, our village so great everyone has an opinion whether we agree with it or not. It just saddens me to think some may not voice their opinion in the future because of the rather harsh comments which I'm sure were just meant to get a point across rather than be hurtful. Garden City residents are not afraid to get involved, to stand up for what they believe in and I am proud to live here.
