Some residents have noted that they had not received mail on either Monday, Dec. 27 or Tuesday, Dec. 28 in the wake of the weekend blizzard that left nearly two feet of snow in Garden City.
According to incoming Postmaster Annette D'Amato of the Garden City Post Office, the problem should be fixed now.
"Monday we had a hard time getting trucks in here, but as long as there's paths and [postal workers] can get to the boxes, there shouldn't be any problems," D'Amato said.
"Everything should be back to normal now."
D'Amato said any resident with a problem at a specific address could call the post office at 516-747-2201.
