Week in Review: Top Headlines

Patch wraps up another busy news week.

Sports dominated Garden City Patch news last week as the Empire State Games kicked off in upstate, NY. Seventeen Garden City athletes are representing Long Island at the five-day Olympic-style sports fest.

In business news, Patch is happy to report that all Seventh Street vacancies have now been filled, with some slated to open in August. Patch also sat down with Garden City Community Church senior pastor James Adelmann in the latest installation of our popular column "Patch Chat."

Lord & Taylor showed off all the latest fall trends during a fashion show at the store last week and the Garden City Pool is seeing a boost in revenue, raking in $30,000 to $32,000 more money when compared to this time last year.
