Week in Review: Top Headlines
Here's a rundown of all the news Patch covered last week.
Last week we were hit with another significant snowfall and attended several important local meetings.
The Village Board of Trustees approved a new CSEA contract and Garden City teenagers were caught with wine, beer and marijuana. We all faced another snow storm, though not as big as the “Christmas Weekend” blizzard.
In sports news, a former Garden City bombers player signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. The Lady Trojans basketball team was able to come out ahead of Roslyn, while the boys didn’t fair quite as well. The high school track team was also able to qualify in the Millrose Games, which are held at Madison Square Garden.
