"A Musical History Tour of Rock & Roll, Doo-Wop & Pop"

Friends of the Garden City Public Library will sponsor a free concert “A Musical History Tour of Rock & Roll, Doo-Wop & Pop” performed by The Vic Vincent Group on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:00pm at Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., in Garden City. During this 1-hour program, tour the great eras of rock & roll, doo-wop, & pop, which began in the 1950’s. Sing along, tap your feet, clap your hands, & enjoy the music that will bring back those wonderful memories of where you were & what you were doing during those special times of your life. Vocals will be performed by Vic on keyboard & guitar, Bill on percussion, and Jim on sax & trumpet.

Hear songs by artists, such as: Rock & Roll sounds of Elvis, Bill Haley & the Comets, Dion & the Belmonts, the Tokens, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Paul Anka, Del Shannon, Rickie Nelson, Drifters, Four Seasons, Beatles, & Roy Orbison; Doo-Wop harmonies of the Five Satins, Penguins, Danny & the Juniors, Marcels, Duprees, Del Vikings, Elegants, & Little Anthony & the Imperials; Pop tunes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Louie Prima, Englebert Humperdink, Tom Jones, Michael Buble` & Neil Diamond; Story-telling Country songs by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, BJ Thomas, & Alabama.
