AIRPLANE NOISE MEETING TONIGHT IN STEWART MANOR

On Monday, August 25th, Stewart Manor will host a meeting of TVASNAC (Town -Village Aircraft Safety & Noise Abatement Committee). This group, sponsored by the Town of Hempstead, regularly meets in the village of Lawrence but since 2012 has elected to host meetings in interested communities to give residents an opportunity to hear issues and voice comments and complaints.

If airplane noise is a problem for you, this is your chance to learn about the issues and voice complaints about how airplane noise impacts your life. The meeting will be held on Monday, August 25th at 7:30 pm at Stewart Manor Village Hall (120 Covert Avenue, Stewart Manor). It is critical that all Stewart Manor residents, and all interested parties, attend this meeting and show support for increased noise abatement measures.

Please note that the guest speaker is still TBA. However, the community will be updated on the latest information available regarding the JFK and LaGuardia Part 150 studies and the community roundtable currently being implemented.

There will be a period for public comment as time allows.
