Trustee Jack Pascal Retires From Library Board

Library recognizes his decade of service with a certificate of appreciation.

At a recent meeting of the board of trustees of the Garden City Public Library, John H. Pascal was honored on his retirement after 10 years of service on the library board.

Trustee Pascal was presented with a framed picture of the first library in Garden City as well as a framed picture of the current library and a certificate of appreciation.

The Library Board of Trustees stated, “We thank Jack Pascal for ten years of tireless effort on behalf of the library. We wish him health and happiness in his future endeavors.”

During his tenure on the board, Pascal was active in many diverse areas through various committees however he is most appreciated for his tireless work in helping prepare the yearly library budget.

The trustees unanimously re-elected J. Randolph Colahan, chair, and Gloria Weinrich, vice chair of the library board at this same meeting.
