Jones Beach Rescue Hosts End of Summer Party Fundraiser

- Fundraiser to raise money to restore Jones Beach Central Mall Mosaics

Do you love Jones Beach? Why not celebrate and support the magnificent seaside treasure on Long Island? Jones Beach Rescue, a newly formed volunteer organization, will host an End of the Summer Party Fundraiser Sunday, September 25.

Jones Beach Rescue will highlight all contest entries and winners from its World @ Jones Beach summer photo contest at an End of Summer Party Fundraiser to be held 4-7 pm Sunday, September 25 at the West Bathhouse, Jones Beach. Tickets are $35 and proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Central Mall Mosaics.  Tickets should be purchased in advance online at NY Charities. If you experience any problems purchasing tickets online, you may contact Jones Beach Rescue at info@jonesbeachrescue.com.

Alexandra Parsons Wolfe will welcome and inform guests of Jones Beach Rescue's mission and the mosaic restoration project. John Norbeck will talk about the history of Jones Beach and restoration efforts under his tenure as director of the Long Island State Parks Region. Everyone also can enjoy a tour of the West Bathhouse that includes Robert Moses' office and the Marine Dining Room. Light refreshments will be available.

Jones Beach Rescue

Jones Beach Rescue is an all-volunteer organization that believes Jones Beach can be the world-class public beach it once was. We are committed to restoring and enhancing the park's historic and natural resources and we will work with the Regional New York State Parks Office to support the rehabilitation effort that will improve the beach and park experience for everyone.  Jones Beach Rescue is fiscally sponsored by the Open Space Institute, Inc., as part of its Citizen Action Program.

Visit www.jonesbeachrescue.org for more information or to learn how to volunteer.
