Fundraiser Hoping to Send NCC Cheerleaders to UCA Nationals
The Nassau Community College team is currently ranked second in the nation.
Nassau Community College cheerleaders are hoping to raise money for a trip to the 2014 UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) Nationals in Florida in January.
The team is currently ranked second in the nation.
A fundraising campaign was created by Coach Alana Pelizzoli on www.gofundme.com to help reach their goal of $6,000.
Since late October, when the campaign was first created, $110 has been raised.
The competition, to be Jan. 17-19 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL, is open to all U.S. colleges, universities and junior colleges.
