Parents Create GoFundMe Page to Raise Money for Son's Education

Darlene Riccardi-Giarratano has created a fundraising page in hopes to enable her son, Jack, to continue his education at Long Island Lutheran High School.

"We are not financially able to keep him there," Riccardi-Giarratano wrote on the gofundme.com page created Jan. 6.

The goal is to raise $50,000. To date, $115 has been raised by four people in eight days.

"It is our prayer that we could raise enough to be able to keep our son, Jack, in the school he loves," she said. "Any amount you might provide would be an incredible help to us, and of course, Jack."

It might help to explain why he needs to be in a private school that costs $50k when the public schools here are some of the best in the country.

I can't believe you have the nerve to ask for donations to send your son to private school. What's even more laughable is that there are kooks out there that actually gave you some money.
