Molly Josephs of Garden City was named USA Track & Field's 2013 Henry Laskau Award winner Saturday at the USATF annual meeting in Indianapolis.

The award, given to the top junior women's race walker in the United States, commemorates the achievements of the first modern-day walker to achieve star - three-time Olympian Henry Laskau.

In March, Josephs was the top junior woman in the Pan American Cup Trials Race but was unable to compete in Guatemala due to collegiate meet conflicts. In June, she was the U.S. Junior Outdoor Champion in June and followed this with a second place overall finish and the first American woman in the USA/Canada dual meet in August.

Josephs competes for the Spartans at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.
