For the 36th year, shop windows in the central business district and on New Hyde Park Road will be judged and awarded for the best in holiday spirit, creativity and originality.
There will be 10 winners plus “best of show” in the central business district and one winner on New Hyde Park Road. Judging will take place Thursday, Dec 12.
Representatives of the four property owners’ associations, along with a professional artist, will again serve as judges.
The 2012 “Toast of the Town” (best of show) was awarded to S.L. Enterprises. Last year's 10 additional winners within the central business district were Annastasia Salon, Coach Realtors, Devonshire Home Design, The Donnelly Group, EnVie, The High Top Shop, The Pear Tree, Things & Stuff and West & Stannish Opticians. Additionally, the shop window judged to be the best on New Hyde Park Road in 2012 was Sugar & Spice Culinary Arts.
