It's wonderful to hear the good things people are doing, but there are some heartless people as well. There are a few apartment buildings in RVC with people who have displaced family members living with them. These owners and co-op board members are telling the owners their family cannot use washers/dryers, they can't have pets with them. Some people offered to rent - cash up front- empty apartments but were turned down because of their dogs. Seriously, have some people become that self-centered to worry about a dog next door when these people have lost everything? Shame on these owners and shame on those boards! And rather than look at this as a win-win; the poor people have a warm place to call "home" no matter how temporary, and the owners earn revenue to pay oil price increases that will now fall on the shareholders!

just reading Jane Goodall with my son for school and came across this quote of an amazing womanRead More "every individual matters, every individual has a role to play, every individual makes a difference." that is what makes our nation, our village so great everyone has an opinion whether we agree with it or not. It just saddens me to think some may not voice their opinion in the future because of the rather harsh comments which I'm sure were just meant to get a point across rather than be hurtful. Garden City residents are not afraid to get involved, to stand up for what they believe in and I am proud to live here.
