Laurence J. Rice of Garden City died Dec. 27. He was 89.
Mr. Rice is the father of Kathleen Rice, Nassau County's District Attorney; the beloved husband of the late Christine C.; devoted brother of Maura K. Murphy, Charles E. and the late James B.; loving father also to Louis (Jana), Timothy (Sheila), Paul (Ward), Mary Ann (Owen) Blicksilver, Ellen, Christine, Elizabeth (Michael) Connors, Sheila and the late Laurence J. (Cheryl); and adored grandfather of 11.
A Mass will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Garden City with interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery.
