Readers' Choice: Best Nail Salon in Long Beach

Time for your close-up: Where do you go for fierce nails?

Nail salons are an ever-present part of the Long Beach landscape and inspire passionate followings. Where else can you sip a cup of coffee while getting a hand massage, nail touchup or waxing – all while catching up on the latest gossip?

There’s an intimate relationship one develops over nails. Some of the most important moments in life start with a manicure and fresh coat of polish. Nail technicians become part of the extended family.

Time to weigh in. Long Beach Patch is looking to unearth the best nail salon in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s nail salons – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.

Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate mani-pedi poll.

The following week we’ll announce our winner.

Our nominees:

George's nails did my gel color and it was worst manicure I ever received in my life, I asked for shellac and they said that they had that specific one, until I was ready for paint they said theat had something similar!!! Not what I wanted, my color was thick and disgusting, chipped one day later when it so post last two weeks! Twenty five dollars down the drain

Thanks for the heads-up. My friends and I were looking for a new nail salon to do gels for us. I wont be going there.
