Introducing the New Patch

Welcome to the new Garden City Patch everybody!

I’m Carisa Giardino, your local editor. For my first post on the new site, here’s a quick video introduction that talks about the new features and what we’re calling groups.

Now you can follow groups on Garden City Patch — centered around topics like Breaking News, Family, Elections, and what’s new from local businesses — and they all update your custom homepage.

Find and follow groups

Anyone can start a group — whether it’s for a hobby, a fun idea to share, a community organization... any topic you want.

Neighbors can even start private groups for planning after-school activities, organizing youth sports teams, running clubs, coordinating get-togethers on your block, and more.

Start your own group

So join in and get started — I can’t wait to see what we come up with!

P.S. We’d love to know what you think of the new Patch. Tell us here.
